钢边橡胶止水带属中埋式橡胶止水带，是其一种常用的形式，先将经过先期处理的镀锌钢带插入橡胶中间硫化成形，两者之间的粘结力的牢固性，具有明显防渗止水方面的效果。中埋式钢边止水带的中间橡胶体在结构变形时被压缩、拉伸、变形，而起到密封止水作用；镀锌钢带与混凝土有着良好的粘附性，不易脱落和松动，使止水带能承受较大的拉力和扭力。

1、先将钢边橡胶止水带按设计要求，放在规定的部位。

2、利用钢边橡胶止水带二边的安装孔，用铁丝将钢边橡胶止水带与钢筋网捆扎定位。钢边橡胶止水带定位时应二边钢带外侧**中间橡胶止水带形成U字型安装。

3、模板应严格按施工操作规程要求进行施工，安装在钢边止水带的中间橡胶0型环上下二面间的平面上，模板要牢固，谨防混凝土浇灌振捣时模板移位。

4、安装好的钢边橡胶止水带在施工时一定要保护和支撑好未浇捣混凝土部分的橡胶止水带，在浇捣止水带附近混凝土时要细微振捣，尤其在水平部分，止水带下缘的混凝土更要细微，使混凝土中的气泡从钢边橡胶止水带翼下跑出来，当混凝土捣面**过止水带平面后，可以剪断铁丝，使止水带呈水平状态。
